Help required

Good Morning Community in the Dales.

My name is Diane Smith, I am a Police community Officer, I have recently moved to Leyburn Police Station to continue my job in the Dales.  I have been doing my job for nearly 23 years, mostly in and around Catterick Garrison.

I am asking you, the Dales community if you know of or are involved in any established groups that meet on a regular basis, have a decent attendance and wouldn't mind me taking up a space to do my police stuff in your communities.

Many years ago I worked for ‘Better Government for Older People’ which involved engaging with the community within all groups that met up the Dale including Luncheon Clubs, Coffee mornings, local cafes etc.  These meetings were a way to make myself available to discuss matters that concern you and your community.

I would like to do this again with similar groups in order to make myself available to members of the community that struggle with getting out further a field.  I have already met some of the Parish members in Askrigg and intend to get to some of the other Parish Council meetings in the Dales.
