Public Announcement: Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour with Off-Road Bikes The local police are committed to addressing anti-social behaviour and ensuring the safety of our community. Off-road bikes, when used irresponsibly, can cause significant alarm, distress, and annoyance to residents. This includes illegal off-roading, reckless riding, and the use of these vehicles in public spaces without due care and attention. We would like to remind the public that under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002, officers have the authority to seize vehicles being used in a manner that causes alarm, distress, or annoyance to the public. This includes vehicles being driven without a valid licence, insurance, or in a careless or inconsiderate manner on public roads or off-road areas. Recently, an off-road bike was seized on Kingsway after the rider was found to be operating the vehicle without a valid licence or insurance. This action demonstrates our commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour and ensuring the safety of all road users and residents. We urge all members of the community to report any instances of anti-social behaviour involving off-road bikes. Your cooperation is vital in helping us maintain a safe and peaceful environment for everyone. Thank you for your continued support.
