We have received several recent reports of burglaries in neighbouring boroughs where thieves targeted high‑value gold jewellery. Local police have noted that some of these incidents involved gold traditionally kept in family homes.

Your Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team is advising residents not to keep large amounts of gold or other valuables at home. Instead, please consider using a secure safe, a bank safety deposit box, or another trusted secure location.
