Reassurance update

Hope you are all well

Some of you may be aware of the incident that happened yesterday outside Greggs on the High Street whereby firearms officers were in attendance. There has been obvious speculation on social media so I just wanted to make you all aware of the facts.

Officers were called to the area due to a report of a man was seen with a machete. This was both false and malicious and subsequently the caller was arrested. There was at no time any risk to the public
