Arson Concerns in Local Wooded Area |

🔥 Ashby Policing Update – Arson Concerns in Local Wooded Area This month, Ashby officers have been focusing on a serious issue of arson in a wooded area on the Dunbar Way Estate. These incidents pose a significant risk to public safety, wildlife, and nearby homes. During a search of the scene, officers located several concerning items, including aerosol cans, flammable materials such as batteries and aftershave, and several tools such as screwdrivers and knives, which we believe have been used to build and start the fires. These items raise clear concerns about: At this stage, we have suspicions that those responsible may be local youths engaging in anti‑social behaviour. We are keen to prevent anyone from getting hurt and want to give parents and carers the opportunity to speak with their children about the seriousness of this activity.
🔥 Arson is extremely dangerous, and we are actively investigating. Officers will continue to patrol the area regularly, and we have already carried out house‑to‑house enquiries, speaking with residents living close by. Their concerns are being taken seriously, and our priority is keeping the community safe. If you have any information that may help us, please contact us via 101 or report online. In an emergency, always call 999.
