Dear Resident, Thank you to everyone who attended our meeting on Thursday. For those who couldn’t join, here’s what was discussed: New priorities for the next three months: Knife crime in Littleport Anti-social parking in Ely Anti-social behaviour in Littleport Updates on previous priorities: Anti-Social Driving Patrols in hotspot areas including Elean Business Park, Soham train station car park and Ely Leisure Village.90 parking tickets have been issued across the district with Chequers Lane and Forehill being key locations.Speed checks on Main Street, Ely recorded 374 vehicles in one hour, with only two drivers exceeding the limit.Working with The Hive to encourage reporting, review CCTV and provide advice on preventing further ASB driving.Two drivers have been issued Section 59 warnings, meaning their vehicles can be seized if they offend again.Knife Crime Officers carried out 24 stop searches, including eight specifically for knives—none of which resulted in knives being found.Five investigations into knife-related offences (possession and threats) are ongoing.Six young people are currently being monitored through the Op Guardian initiative.Youth Anti-Social Behaviour A homeless man breaching a Community Protection Notice has been arrested several times and is now subject to a Criminal Behaviour Order with strict conditions and a curfew.Groups of youths in the city centre remain an issue. The Fitness Rush Bus is now in week 7 of a 10‑week intervention, with eight young people attending and positive behaviour changes already noted.Targeted patrols in ElyThank you for your continued support.
