Over recent weeks, officers from the C Relief Neighbourhood Team have increased patrols following concerns from residents and local businesses about anti‑social behaviour and graffiti in the area.
During one of these proactive patrols, PC Riaz and PC Gregory witnessed a male actively spray‑painting graffiti on the arches near Duke Street. The male was detained at the scene interviewed. He has now been charged with causing criminal damage and issued with a court date.
We’re committed to keeping Castlefield safe and officers will continue to maintain a visible presence and work closely with the community to address issues as they arise.
How you can help If you witness anti‑social behaviour or anything that doesn’t look right, please continue to report it to us.
• Report online via the GMP website • Call 101 for non‑emergencies • Always dial 999 in an emergency

Together, we can keep Castlefield a safe, vibrant place to live, work, and visit.
