Burglaries in the area |
||
|
Good Afternoon,
We would like to make you aware of a small number of reports of residential burglaries that have occurred in the Walmer Road and Crossland Road North area of St Annes.
We believe these occurred around 20:00 hours on the 19th January whereby offenders have smashed glass to gain entry to properties or forced windows open. We also believe these offenders were garden hopping around the back of Ramsgate park.
These offences have occurred whilst the residents have not been home.
We will be increasing our visibility overnight in these areas and utilising our powers to stop and search where necessary.
Please ensure all entry and exit points to your property are locked and secure.
If you have CCTV or doorbell cameras, please ensure these are charged and in working order. We also advise you to check your footage regularly, particularly for any motion or activity picked up overnight.
We would like to remind all residents in the area to stay alert and report any ongoing suspicious activity via 999. Or if you have any information or CCTV which you think may be of interest to us, you can contact us via 101 or the online reporting system on Lancashire Police website.
We appreciate this email may be concerning, however we wanted to keep you informed so you can remain vigilant and spread the word to your neighbours. | ||
