New Quarterly Priorities 

The new priorities that have been agreed between Police, Stakeholders and Partners for January to April are:

How priorities are chosen: 

The priorities for the Broxtowe NPA are reviewed every 3 months in a multi-Agency meeting attended by Police, Broxtowe Borough Council, Licensing and Probation.

The meeting looks at the data from crime recording and intelligence systems held by the police, as well as data from the Nottinghamshire Police Crime Commissioners Office and responses to the ‘What Matters’ survey submitted to the police via the Notts Alert system, to determine which matters are important to our communities.

The priorities selected do not detract from other priorities either locally or across the force.

Why these priorities have been chosen:

The priorities have been chosen for Broxtowe NPA due to calls relating to ASB, drugs and alcohol related ASB.  Crime data has shown a slight increase in these areas recently.  

Over the next three months NPT and Partners will be working together, sharing information enabling positive action on those individuals causing the most harm, carrying out patrols in the area and engagement with members of the public

Community concerns 

Reports of Off Road Bikes ASB around the Nuthall area of Broxtowe North.  NPT is working with the Off-Road Bike Team and City West to tackle this issue by identifying those responsible and taking appropriate and proportionate action. 

Shoplifting offences – will still be actioned robustly. NPT’s PC Harry Brown was off duty, when he has spotted a wanted shoplifter and arrested him. NPT is extremely proud of Harry’s commitment and wish to thank him for his bravery. See link:

News

Broxtowe NPA has had the Police Knife Crime Team out patrolling the area.  They carried out a search in Station Road, Beeston where suspected criminal property was seized and two persons arrested.  The investigation is ongoing. See link: 1041036735959419_1278690837619325/

NPT and the Burglary Team have had an excellent result linked to the burglaries in December.  The suspect, Christos IONA was arrested, charged and sent to prison for four years. See link: 1041036735959419_1286205403534535/
