Distraction theft from Motor Vehicle |
||
|
Dear Resident
Please be aware that it has been reported to us that distraction thefts may be occurring again at the Brookfield Centre car park. This is where someone flags a vehicle to stop with the intention to distract the driver for the purpose of another to either enter or access the vehicle to take any items they can without the driver being aware.
If anyone approaches you please be cautious. Please do not hesitate to call 999 if you suspect to be subject to this and feel in immediate danger.
If you have any information relating to this you can click the reply button at the bottom of the email, or by contacting the police on the non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, you can give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Tips to prevent vehicle crime:
Please be vigilant and report any suspicious activities in the area. If you need to report a crime please call 101 or go online here.
