Local Priorities Speeding traffic / hazardous driving Concern Update |
||
|
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Speeding traffic / hazardous driving, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Officers from your Safer Neighbourhood Team have today completed an operation to stop motorist speeding within Church Gresley, which is a local agreed priority following concerns highlighted to us. Several motorists have been issued tickets for speeding, alongside others not wearing seat belts. Please note that some van drivers mistakenly believed that they were exempt which is not accurate. Please ensure that you read the highway code and the legislation around this. If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.derbyshire.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
