Burglary Near You -Kensington Street

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Thursday 22nd January between 1730hrs-1945hrs, this occurred in the and the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

BETWEEN TIMES AND DATES STATED, SUSPECT(S) UNKNOWN HAVE GAINED ENTRY TO LOCUS BY BREAKING THE LOCK ON THE REAR EXTENSION DOOR. SUSPECT(S) HAVE NOT TAKEN ANY ITEMS, AND HAVE THEN LEFT THE PROPERTY VIA THE ENTRY POINT.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Thursday 22nd January between 1730hrs-1945hrs, to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
