Trentham and Hanford - Burglary Southgate Ave and Business premises

Good afternoon everyone, 

We have received a report of a residential burglary at Southgate Avenue.  The suspects have removed a key safe from the property, gained entry and stolen property. 

The incident happened sometime between 20:00 on 21/01/26 and into the early hours on 22/01/26. 

 I am also aware that two males tried to gain access to a business premises on the area and were unsuccessful. This occurred at approximately 04:10 on 22/01/26. 

Today myself, officers from the neighbourhood team and colleagues from the forensic department have been on the area, investigating these incidents.  

Please continue to report incidents by calling 101 (non- emergency) or 999 (emergency). This will ensure that the incidents are recorded and investigated promptly. This will also help to ensure that we do not miss any forensic or CCTV opportunities that may help our enquiries.
