UPDATE | A man has died following a collision in St Austell

A St Austell man has died following a collision which took place earlier this month.

The male pedestrian was walking in the area of Trevanion Road at the junction with Sawles Road on the morning of 2 January when he was involved in a collision with a red Peugeot 207.

The 48-year-old was taken to hospital where he sadly passed away on 9 January.  His next of kin were informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
