Dear Resident,
On Saturday officers recovered the below circular saw worth £700 as part of an ongoing investigation. The saw which had been stolen in May 2025. The saw was found at a residential address using a tracker that was installed on it.
Officers attended a vehicle on Sunday following reports that it had been abandoned and was attracting antisocial behaviour. The vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa had a number of alcohol bottles on and around it, evidence of nitrous oxide use and lots of rubbish dumped around and in the vehicle. As the vehicle was showing a SORN (notified off road) the officers were able to seize the vehicle and remove it from the area.
On Monday the team attended two addresses with Coventry City Councils Safer Housing Team. The addresses attended were suspected to be illegal houses of multiple occupancy. Officers arrived at the two addresses simultaneously to meet the council representatives who has obtained warrants for each address. One property was found to be over occupants whilst the other only had one person living in it, but that persons was looking after a cannabis factory at the address. There were multiple rooms in the address that had been converted ready to grow cannabis and an active grow of 70 small cannabis plants in the loft. The male occupant was arrested and the cannabis seized.
Two of our PCSOs found this Jaguar F-Pace parked in a car park behind houses in a residential area on Tuesday. The car was spotted with one number plate stuck over another parked in the corner of the car park. The PCSOs checked the number plate shown on top and the vehicle identification number (VIN) which when checked through the police national computer did not match. The top plates were removed to reveal the correct number plate which matched the VIN and was showing as Stolen from the Leicstershire area on the 15th January 2026. The vehicle was recovered to be reunited with its owner.
Also, on Tuesday officers seized a Ford Transit van from its driver after the vehicle was initially seen to run a red light. The officers stopped the vehicle and conducted the normal checks on the police national computer which showed that the vehicle had no tax and the driver had no insurance for the vehicle. The officers seized the vehicle from the driver.
On Wednesday night officers sighted a car known to them for drug offences. The officers signalled for the vehicle to stop but it turned onto another road and stopped where the occupant got out and stood next to the car. The officer went to speak to the male and conducted a search of him and the vehicle where they found a small container containing suspected class A drugs. One of the officers then noticed further drugs behind where the male was stood that he had tried to hide. The male tried to run from the officers but was caught after a small foot chase and he was arrested for possession with intent to supply. In total 46 wraps of suspected Class A drugs were found along with the container. The vehicle involved was also seized for having no tax.
