Longford Updates |
||
|
Dear Residents & Businesses,
Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with:
PATROLS Officers have been carrying out patrols of the Longford areas on foot and in vehicles. We have been paying particular attention to locations that have recently experienced an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour, such as Riley Square, Phillips Walk and Longford Park.
ARRESTS The team have made one arrest this week within Riley Square. On Sunday, our officers attended Farmfoods for unrelated matters, and during their visit had come across a shoplifter, who had just been released from prison that weekend. Unfortunately for him, he was arrested for theft from shop and for assault of a PC. He has been charged with these offences.
VEHICLE CRIME & BURGLARY We have had no reports of any burglaries or vehicle thefts in the Longford area this week.
You can find out more about vehicle crime prevention here: Theft of motor vehicle | Your Options | West Midlands Police (west-midlands.police.uk) Theft from motor vehicle | Your Options | West Midlands Police (west-midlands.police.uk)

We would like to thank everyone for attending and it was lovely to see some returning faces and some new ones to discuss any concerns within the community. We will be holding our next Longford PACT meetings in April/May and August so we will let you know when dates have been confirmed, we would love to see you at the next one!
