Scam calls

We have received reports from local residents that other ‘police forces’ have been calling on landlines stating a family member is in custody and need help with their release by the means of sending money. This is a SCAM, should you receive one of these calls please do not engage with the caller, end the call and block the number. Please report any suspicious scam activity to Crime stoppers.
