Cold Calling.

Residents, 

Sadly we have received recent reports of Cold Callers at peoples front doors, two males targeting people who they deem to be vulnerable , offering their services for garden work or cutting down trees , offering extortionate quotes there and then at the front door then pushing the occupants to have the works done and even then upping the costs causing a great deal of fear and upset .

We advise residents to put up a “ No Cold Callers ” Sign . Don't open the door to unexpected visitors and tell callers firmly to leave which becomes a criminal offence if ignored.

Report persistent callers or suspected scams to the Citizens advice  ( 0808 223 1133 ) and the Police ( 101 ) , especially if threatened
