January round up! |
||
|
Hello everybody,
I hope the New Year has started well for you. As we approach the end of the month I thought I would send a little round up of January.
Crime across Surbiton has remained low this month, two reported Burglary's across the three wards. Two more than I wanted but I'm pleased we are keeping it low. Similarly motor vehicle break in's have reduced, Surbiton Hill have had a few mainly overnight. None on St Marks or Berrylands. Shoplifting is still a problem especially on Victoria Road. We are setting up a business group to improve processes around reporting shoplifting and handing over the best evidence. The team are out daily on the High St.
You may have seen us on the High St last week, we were out in force with immigration checking the E-Bikes, Scooters and their riders. One male was arrested for immigration offences.
In other good news a prolific Surbiton cycle thief was arrested yesterday in Kingston. He was charged for multiple theft offences and breaches of his CBO. He has been remanded to Crown Court awaiting his sentence.
Please do still be vigilant with locking cars and removing valuables. Similarly ensure you lock your bike wheel to the frame in your garage or shed! If you see anybody suspicious, whether they are hanging around or on your drive, please please call us on 999. Better to be safe than sorry!
I hope the rest of the month goes well! Speak to you next month!
Thanks
