Yesterday, between the hours of 12:00 - 13:00hrshrs I conducted Speed Watch duties in the area of Canterbury Road, Wingham. During this time, I observed and recorded a total of 216 passing vehicles entering the village, with 27 of those being driven in excess of the speed limit (equating to approx. 12.5% of all vehicles entering that area). Sadly many of the speeding vehicles were observed being driven up to 70% over the legal speed limit. We are dedicated to ensure Wingham remains a safe place to live, work and visit. |
