Witness appeal after fatal collision in Metheringham

We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Metheringham last night (19 January).

The collision happened on the B1189 Moor Lane and B1191 junction near Martin and involved two cars, a grey Ford Ranger and a blue Volkswagen Touran. It was reported at 6.15pm.  

The driver of the Volkswagen, a woman in her 60s, sadly died at the scene. Her family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

The passenger of the Volkswagen sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution. The driver of the Ford also sustained injuries from the collision.  

The B1191 near Timberland crossroads and the Metheringham junction was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
