Local Patrols to protect school children and prevent phone thefts

I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Today your local SNT officers have been out conducting foot patrols around the end of the school day. We have been walking around our ward hotspots and areas we know school children frequent, all with the goal of increasing visibility and preventing phone thefts. We have been speaking to people about the importance of keeping phones out of sight and secure and being aware of your surroundings.

 We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years.
