Dear Resident,
Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team will be holding a Bike Registry Event at the Evolve Community Centre on Wednesday 28th January 2026 between 1400 and 1600 hours.
What Bike Registry Is An online database where you can record: Make, model, colour Frame number Photos of the bike Your contact details This information is stored securely and can be accessed by the police if the bike is found. Why It’s Useful Deters theft – many thieves avoid bikes that are marked or registered. Helps police identify stolen bikes – even if parts have been altered. Speeds up the process of returning bikes to their owners once recovered. Provides proof of ownership for insurance claims.
This service is free of charge. The Dr Bike team will also be at the event to check your bike is safe to ride. They will do their best to repair any potential tyre issues, chain problems, or brake faults. Everyone is welcome, and it would be great to see you there.
