Drugs related ASB & MET ENGAGE

Compliments North Hanwell residents and Stake Holders, 

This weekend  we have conducted more and more  proactive foot patrols in the area and conducted assurances patrols, CCTV enquiries regarding burglaries in the area and welfare door knocks. 

Furthermore, Officers have registered residents and businesses to the Met Engage. More and more resident can be seen joining this Platform – MET ENGAGE. 

This weekend has been productive as residents have felt comfortable seeing officers on the streets and have approached and raised their concerns related to Drugs and Burglaries.  Drugs related ASB(Anti-Social Behaviour) is the main concern also reflected by the MET ENGAGE survey too.  To deal with drugs related issues in the area, the  SNT (Safer Neighbourhood team) officers will be conducting more operation in near future. 

There has been ‘Targeted Patrols’ to specific streets to gather information by PC Karim and PC Brar - included area of our Set Ward’s Priorities and local parks and streets in concern/ highlighted in our Ward Panel Meeting .  

PC Brar has managed to sign many of the residents to Met Engage. Last week PC Mullah has interacted with local businesses  to join the MET ENGAGE. Here we have engaged with residents and businesses and park users to be vigilant about burglaries in the area and prevention advice have been given.  More work is required and we as your Dedicated Ward officers believe that Community led information, and reporting will assist us to be more effective and to provide ‘problem specific’ policing and solutions  to our North Hanwell Ward.
