Quarterly crime statistics |
||
|
We work closely with our key partners within the ward, which includes your local ward councillors, community groups and organisations. We are also fortunate to have residents who assist in getting messages out to those who may not be online or able to come see us.
These community members also sit on the ‘Ward Panel Meeting’. This is held every quarter to scrutinise the work of the Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) and set priorities for the team to focus on, according to the quarterly crime figures which are compared with the previous year.
This year we will be sharing the quarterly crime statistics. These include the comparable figures from the previous year in the same quarter. Our first meeting of 2026 will be held next week and we will cover the reports between October 1st to December 31st 2025. The total number of reports for this period in 2025 was 45, considerably lower than previous year 2024 where the total reports for the same categories were 95. The statistics are included as images.
The meeting also provides the opportunity to detail the reports, as the statistics can at times appear alarming. For example, mention of a Burglary, may not always refer to a burglary of a home. It may include where an outbuilding has been entered, or entry has been attempted when it is connected to a residential property. For example a shed/garage or outbuilding.
These figures are generated by the number of crime reports made direct to police and we hope that by sharing the information available, demonstrates the actual crime in the ward, and highlights the importance of reporting.
We trust that this information is of interest, and thank you for taking the time to read.
With kind regards
