Appeal after cyclist dies in Borehamwood |
||
|
We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information after a cyclist died in Borehamwood.
Officers were called to a report of a man, who had been riding an e-bike, lying in the road on Rowley Lane at 4.25pm on Tuesday (13 January).
He showed no sign of any injuries and went home. However, he was immediately taken to hospital and found to have broken and fractured bones. On Friday (16 January), he died in hospital.
Detective Sergeant Colin Knowles from Hertsmere CID said: “We would like to hear from anyone driving in Rowley Lane between 4.15pm and 4.45pm who may have seen the cyclist, so we establish exactly how he received his injuries.”
“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone with a dash cam and who was driving in the area at the time in case they recorded any important footage. If you captured anything, please upload this via https://upload.5fdams.aetopia.net?ref=NNM7T3.”
You can also report any information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting 477 of 13 January.
