Suspicious Caller

Dear Residents 

We have recently been advised of a report of a resident receiving a knock at the door from a person purporting to be a tradesman / housing association staff member. The resident was not expecting a visit / work and refused access to the male who then left. There was no attempt to gain entry and nothing was stolen.

The housing association confirm that no work has been scheduled. 

While this may be innocent the resident was absolutely correct in refusing access and closing the door on the male.

Research on GMP systems shows no similar events locally recently however it is always wise to be careful.

Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team will be providing additional patrols and vigilance in the area.
