Is it an emergency?
Call 999 in emergency situations like these: there is an immediate danger to life someone is using violence or is threatening to be violent a crime is happening right now, like a house burglary or a theft the suspect is still at the scene If you’ve pre-registered with the emergencySMS service, use our textphone service 18000 or text us on 999. Call 999 BSL to use a British Sign Language interpreter. If you’ve witnessed or been the victim of crime that isn't an emergency, please report it to us. Your report will be sent direct to our control room. Other reporting options There might be a more appropriate place to report what's happened to you. For example, domestic abuse, a road traffic incident, or antisocial behaviour. You can see all the options you have in our main reporting section. They're designed to ask you the right questions to support investigations.
