New theft awareness signs outside the Pontoon Dock DLR station

I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

In response to an increase of phone theft snatches in and around the Pontoon Dock DLR station, new signs have been placed at exits and by the foot paths to raise awareness of mobile phone theft. There are also signs outside Silvertown Way DLR Station and along Dock Road E16.

Alongside these signs we are conducting proactive operations as well as continuing to patrol the area within our regular shifts.
