The AGM for the West Dulwich Safer Neighbourhood Panel will take place on Wednesday 28th January 2026 - 19:00 at Oakfield School - in the main hall on the North Side of the south circular (same side as Belair Park, entrance from the car park down a flight of steps).
All Neighbourhood Watch Groups are expected to send representatives to the meetings of their local Ward Safer Neighbourhood Panel. The panel objectives, terms of reference and membership can be found here. Ward Panel Handbook

Councillors Updates Action 2 share report on findings of late opening of Brockwell Park – report not yet published. Action 10 arrange for Councillor to attend Peabody TA meeting - has shared request Action 13 provide introduction between Chair of Lairdale TRA and SNP Chair – done Action 22 share contact info for Peabody Housing Association with Police - complete
Chairs Actions Action 3 follow up with the local Primary Care Network and then ask Norwood Forum to host the updated draft to be accessed via their “Safer Norwood” and/or “Thriving Norwood Pages”. This will be reported back the member of the panel who now handles liaison with Norwood Forum.
Action 5 collate guidance with regards parcel delivery, and once it has been shared by the police – circulate this across Lambeth. Neighbourhood Alert agreed and sent.
Action 7 PV circulate details of who to contact to request place on cadets scheme -not currently recruiting
Action 17 publicise fire safety checks for premises with residences above them - process different to that for residential premises. Action passed to Station to Station to inform businesses
Action 18 publicise FB Battery/charging danger awareness events on NW - Alert - awaiting agreement with Lambeth Fire Brigade on using the Alert system.
Police Actions Action 9 – include the bench on Trinity rise by the church on walk rounds Action 21 share key concerns for WD residents signing up to Met Engage. Action 2b get an update from HH SNP team - what impact have has all night opening of Brockwell Park had on crime stats
Council Action 11 identify if there are departments that assess accidents to review road safety and if there is a way people can report any accidents/near misses directly Action 23 to raise concern about street drinkers hanging around Rosendale shops near Peabody estate with licencing team
Secretary Action 15 Ask Fire Brigade if there is any route to support hoarders - email sent, waiting for response Action 24 – Liaise with Police speed watch event for RR - email sent

133 residents of West Dulwich are signed up, most via 20 Street/Estate Groups (not all of them active). Several panel members are involved with plans to launch an “Association” by the end of March to support existing and new groups across Lambeth in implementing the national “Watch, Connect and Act” strategy, in symbiotic co-operation with community police teams via Met Engage.
