January has a reputation for being one of the most depressing months of the year. Following on from a month of festivities, eating, drinking and being merry, January steams in like the ultimate mood hoover and seems to last 467 days!
For some, the "January Blues" is simply the dull come-down & return to normality following Christmas and New Year. For others, January can have a very real and very negative effect on their mental health brining feelings of stress, frustration, energy reduction and prolonged low moods.
With "Blue Monday" hitting next week it's a timely reminder to ensure we are looking after our own mental health and looking out for those who may be struggling.
