We have recently been made aware of a number of incidents of cold calling in the area. Individuals have been knocking on properties in the Cleveleys area offering roofing and gardening services. 

Although these can occasionally be genuine our advice is always to decline any work from anyone that had ‘cold called’ at your address. 

Should you require work done there are ways to access registered and genuine companies via the Lancashire Safer Traders scheme.

Rule of thumb is that any work should be quoted on a letterheaded invoice with a cool down period and no monies should be paid upfront.
