Horse Chestnut Trees, Ty Fry, Aberdare |
||
|
Good Afternoon Residents,
Just to advise,
Whilst out on foot patrols, I was asked by members of the public to look into any planned works on the Horse Chestnut Trees at the lower end of Ty Fry, Aberdare, that are opposite the alleyway that takes you into Bryn Awel, Aberdare. It was mentioned by some residents of them causing an obstruction, and when in full bloom, there had been reports of youths throwing objects that had fallen off the trees towards cars and peoples homes in the immediate area.
I requested the Public Spaces Department in RCT look into this matter. This was their response:
All recommended works were completed in October 2023, and the trees are scheduled for reassessment before April this year (2026). Any further works identified during the upcoming survey will be programmed accordingly. At present, there is no indication of imminent danger relating to this horse chestnut trees. For reference, the tree is recorded on our tree management system as Tree No. 1459. If the trees are found to be in good condition, only remedial works will be undertaken. We do not remove healthy trees. However, the trees will be reassessed as part of the scheduled inspection.
I hope this helps answer any concerns raised by the local community. If you do witness any forms of Anti-Social Behaviour in the area, please do ring it through to South Wales Police on 101.
Kind Regards, | ||
