Theft From Work Vans

Dear Plungington residents,

Please be aware that there have been recent incidents in the Plungington area related to work vans being broken into and tools being taken from them.

Below are some key bits of advice which will help prevent you from becoming a victim of crime. These include:

Leaving your car parked in a well lit area and one covered by CCTV.

Making sure not tools are left inside of vehicles overnight or vehicles are left out of view unlocked and with tools inside.

Parking your van in a way which prohibits entry via side or rear doors.

Reporting suspicious incident to police.

Remove any items of value from display such as phones, keys, loose change, electronics etc.

Mark your tools and consider GPS tags.

If you see something that doesn't seem right ring police on 101 if in an emergency please ring 999.
