Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling Between sometime Friday 2 and 10.56am on Thursday 8 January in Alfreton Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a kitchen window was smashed to gain entry to a property. Overnight Saturday 10 to Sunday 11 January in Brook Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a first floor flat was entered via a back window and keys to the property were stolen. The thief left via the front door. Burglary Other Around midnight on Wednesday 7 January at Co-op Food, Alfreton Road, Sutton in Ashfield, CCTV shows two males enter the building through a hole in the roof, lowering a ladder into the warehouse. The alarm activated and they left via the roof without taking anything. At 1.58am on Saturday 10 January in Lakeside Retail Park, Lakeside View, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of two youths breaking into Subway, one holding a crowbar. A window was smashed to gain entry and money was stolen from a till and the alarm was activated. The first offender was wearing a balaclava, green camouflage coat and black bottoms. The second, also wearing a balaclava and dark coat. Between 7.00pm on Monday 12 and 8.30am on Tuesday 13 January near the Idlewells Centre and bus station, Sutton in Ashfield, glass in the front door of the ‘Every Nail’ shop was smashed to gain entry, draws and cupboards opened, and cash taken from a till. Theft of motor vehicle At 4.00pm on Wednesday 7 January in Butterworth Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a blue Ford Kuga Titanium Estate was stolen. At 1.30am on Monday 12 January in Unwin Road, Sutton in Ashfield, CCTV shows dark images of suspects acting suspiciously outside a garage in what may have been an attempt to gain entry and steal a car. At 3.06am on Monday 12 January in Coronation Street, Sutton in Ashfield, an orange Ford Ranger Wildtrak was stolen by two people who arrived on an off road motorbike and made off in the direction of Silk Street. Theft from motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft At 8.00am on Thursday 8 January at the ASDA Supermarket, Priestsic Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a green Cube bike with LED lights at the front and back was stolen from inside the front entrance of the store. The thief was described as a white male, 18/20 years old, with long combed over brown hair, wearing a black puffer coat with the hood up, black bottoms and black Nike trainers. At 5.30pm on Saturday 10 January in Fackley Road, Teversal, Sutton in Ashfield, copper piping and a CCTV camera were stolen from a building site. Violence against person At 9.05pm on Monday 12 January at the ASDA Supermarket, Priestsic Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a security guard was attacked by a male, who had attempted to steal items from the store, as he tried to move him along. The attacker was described as white, wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up, a red coat and jeans. He moved away and then smashed a glass window on the other side of the building. Criminal Damage At 4.20am on Monday 12 January in Northfield Close, Sutton in Ashfield, a ground floor bedroom window was smashed. ASB At 11.51pm on Tuesday 13 January in Outram Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a white male, 5-10”, dark hair, wearing a black jacket with hood up, black joggers, black shoes and a black back pack along with a white female, 5-10”, slim build, dark beanie hat, dark jacket windproof coat and a dark blanket wrapped around her, were smoking in the communal area of some flats. When asked to leave by the caller they kicked her door.
