Crime Prevention and Request for information

Good Morning Residents of Burn Valley,

Vehicle crime has been reported in the Burn Valley ward area.

Between the hours of 22:00 on 13th January 2026 and 08:00 on 14th January 2026 a vehicle was broken into and a number of items stolen in the Hutton Avenue area of Hartlepool.

If any residents have any CCTV/Ring doorbell footage of anyone acting suspiciously in the area between those times could you please contact Police on 101.

To Prevent your vehicle becoming a target for vehicle crime

Ensure you take all personal belongings into you home and done leave any items on display.

Ensure you lock your vehicle.

CCTV/Ring doorbells and dash cams can be good deterrents and can be useful in capturing images of persons acting suspiciously in the areas.

Report any activity to police on 101 for non emergency reports or 999 if there is an immediate risk. You can also report online vis the Cleveland police website.
