Update from your local Police |
||
|
Good morning,
Over the past week, our officers from Colindale Safer Neighborhoods team have executed four warrants as part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our community safe.
While these warrants did not result in arrests, they were far from unsuccessful. During the operations, we seized a significant number of items linked to criminal activity and secured closure orders for two of the addresses.
A Closure Order is a legal power under the Anti-social Behavior, Crime and Policing Act 2014 in the UK. It allows the police or local authority to close a property for up to 3 months (and sometimes extendable to 6 months) when that property is linked to: Once granted by a magistrates’ court, the property is sealed off, and no one is allowed to enter except those authorized (like the landlord or emergency services). Breaching a closure order is a criminal offence. The purpose is to protect the community, stop ongoing harm, and give time for longer-term solutions like eviction or rehabilitation
These actions send a clear message: we are determined to tackle issues that affect our neighborhoods and will continue to take decisive steps to protect our community. Your support and cooperation are vital in helping us achieve these results. If you have any concerns or information that could assist us, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Together, we can make our area safer and stronger.
Kind regards, Elena | ||
