Update from your local Safer Neighbourhood Team! |

Hello Forest Gate South!!!
It's hard to believe we're already two weeks into the New Year, and your local Police Officers have been busy in and around Forest Gate.
We wanted to share a quick update on what your local Police Officers have been upto recently.
- Romford Road Patrols Following reports of rough sleepers using bin and electric sheds, Police Officers carried out targeted patrols along ROMFORD ROAD. During this activity, Police Officers arrested an individual who was wanted in connection with a serious assault. Since then there have been no further activity of rough sleepers and a mattress which was used to sleep with was removed!
- Increased Patrols Across The Area Police Officers have continued high-visibility patrols across Forest Gate, with particular focus on MAITLAND ROAD, CLOVA ROAD, ROMFORD ROAD and FARADAY ROAD, responding to reports of anti-social behaviour and criminal activity.
- Supporting Those In Need Towards the end of last week, Police Officers were flagged down by a concerned member of the public about a male who appeared unwell. Police Officers identified that he was experiencing mental health difficulties and ensured he was taken to hospital to receive the care and support he needs
- Road Safety Action Today, Police Officers seized a vehicle that was found to have no insurance, driving without proper license, no wing mirror, defective unreadable number plates, no seatbelts and no MOT!
Thank you to everyone who continues to look out for one another and report concerns. As always if you see something odd, suspicious or concerns about your local neighbourhood please don't hesitate in calling 999 (only for life/death emergencies), 101 (for general reporting) or via the Metropolitan Police Service website - your information really does make a difference.
We'll keep working hard to keep Forest Gate safe!
