Parking Enforcement - Crosland Moor

On Wednesday 14th January, Huddersfield Crosland Moor NPT officers carried out partnership work with Kirklees Council Parking Enforcement to address known and identified parking hotspots, particularly those posing a risk to pedestrian safety.

Patrols focused on Dryclough Road, Woodside Avenue, and several surrounding streets near Moor End Academy and Beaumont Primary Academy. Two parents were issued traffic tickets after their children were found not to be wearing seatbelts.  Several drivers were also given words of advice where parking was deemed inappropriate.  The operation received a large amount of positive feedback from the local community.

Later, officers visited Springdale Street and Bulay Road following complaints from residents. Additional tickets were issued for obstruction and parking-related offences. It is hoped that these sessions will continue regularly throughout the year.
