Speeding Vehicles Across Our Area

Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team have been conducting speed enforcement activity across the area as part of our ongoing commitment to improving road safety and following reports of speeding vehicles.

Recent TruCam deployments have produced the following results:

03/01/2026 – Knockin
A total of 21 vehicles were recorded exceeding the speed limit in 47 minutes and reported for prosecution. Speeds ranged from 35mph to 42mph.

10/01/2026 – Maesbrook 
No vehicles were found to be exceeding the speed limit during this period, with only light traffic passing through. (Photo attached.)

10/01/2026 – Knockin 
A further 16 vehicles were recorded in just over 20 minutes exceeding the speed limit and reported for prosecution. Speeds ranged from 35mph to 46mph, including HGV.

We will continue to carry out targeted enforcement in areas where concerns have been raised, helping to keep our rural communities safe.
