Neighbourhood Link – Aylestone Crime Prevention Update
Aylestone Residents I thought I would share an insight into 2024 – 2025 Crime Levels overview for Aylestone
1) Key messages for residents
Overall recorded crime is broadly stable with a modest increase over the most recent 12 months. Total recorded offences for Dec 2024–Nov 2025 = 1,482
The Police.uk “Statistics” view shows Jan–Dec 2024 = 1,423 offences. Comparing these two 12-month windows indicates an increase of 59 offences (~4.1%). This is a directional year-on-year view because the two windows overlap by one month (Dec 2024).
2) What the Police.uk data shows for Aylestone
Overall volume (rolling 12 months)
Police.uk lists monthly totals for Dec 2024–Nov 2025:
Most reported crime types
For Nov 2025, Police.uk lists the following top reported categories:
Interpretation: The mix is consistent with typical neighbourhood patterns where violence/public order and ASB feature prominently, and it supports the current focus on ASB, youth-related issues, and drug harm.
3) What’s being prioritised locally (and why it matters)
Police.uk lists the following Aylestone priorities issued 01 January 2026:
These priorities align with the categories residents most often report (ASB/public order/violence) and the seasonal spikes seen mid-2025.
4) Practical crime prevention guidance (focused on the main risks)
A) Anti-social behaviour (ASB) and youth nuisance
C) Drug-related harm (dealing and associated ASB)
D) Burglary/vehicle crime basics (evergreen)
5) What residents can do now
6) The Data
All figures above are drawn from the Aylestone area pages on Police.uk, including the rolling monthly totals and recent-month category counts.
The “year-on-year” comparison in this update is based on two 12-month windows shown by Police.uk (Jan–Dec 2024 vs Dec 2024–Nov 2025) and should be treated as a directional trend because Dec 2024 appears in both windows.
We hope this feedback and Transparency is good to know but as local beat team the crime trend continues to fall and we continue to work with our community to make Aylestone a great place to live and work. The data shared is from police.uk
If you found this update helpful please give us a thumps up and you can also share this on social media on the below link too.
Thank you again and any questions you can reply back to me too.
