Dear Resident,
The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) have released a survey to obtain the thoughts on policing funding.
📣 What are we asking from you? Please complete the below online survey to assist the GMCA in applications for the national funding for Greater Manchester Police to increase.

❓ Why is this important? In order to maintain an effective and efficient service, the funding is imperative. If funding is not provided via means of the police precept, other ways would be considered which may include cuts to services the public receive, something we want to fight to avoid.
🚓 What would the GMCA do with this funding in neighbourhood policing? Further reduce neighbourhood crimes and ASB by investing in neighbourhood police officers. Expand hot spot policing tactics in town centres and other key locations to help drive down theft from person, violent crime and retail crime.
Thanks to previous increases, it has assisted GMP in achieving a 15% decrease in neighbourhood crime. ⬇️
⏳ When do I need to complete the survey by? The closing date is Wednesday 21st January 2026.
