#SCHOOLPARKING We want to remind residents of the rules regarding parking. Please be mindful during the school hours – officers will be continuing to monitor this. Examples of Illegal Parking: Double Yellow Lines: Parking or waiting is prohibited at any time. Single Yellow Lines: Parking, loading, and unloading are prohibited during the times shown on the accompanying sign. Yellow Zig-Zag Lines: Stopping or waiting is strictly prohibited. Pedestrian Crossings: Parking is not allowed on a pedestrian crossing, including the area marked by zig-zag lines. Blue Badge Holder Spaces: Parking without a valid Blue Badge. Consequences of Illegal Parking: Fines: Illegal parking can result in fines, ranging from £80 upwards. Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN): A fine issued directly to the driver. Court Appearance: In some cases, illegal parking can lead to a court appearance. Towing: Vehicles parked illegally may be towed away. Penalty Points: In some cases, illegal parking can result in penalty points being added to your driving license. |
