PC Spruce leaves the beat - Welcome PC Bland!

Hello everyone, 

I regret to inform you all that an opportunity has arisen for me elsewhere and I am leaving the beat for pastures new.

It has been a difficult decision to make, as it has been an absolute pleasure and privilege working the Rutland North beat, meeting you all and helping wherever I can. So, a huge heartfelt thank you to all of you for your support and encouragement over the past 21 months that I have been the beat officer for.

But please don’t worry, I would like to reassure you that I am handing over to a fantastic, very experienced officer who has a wealth of knowledge and experience of Policing in Rutland having worked Melton and Rutland as a response officer for many years. PC Bland is starting in a couple of weeks’ time and I have completed a handover with PC Bland.

The wider neighbourhood team at Rutland will hold the fort in that short meantime between me leaving and PC Bland starting. There’s always the separate 24/7 response team that covers the area as well. 

Also, PCSO Lyall is still here and remains your Dedicated Neighbourhood Police Community Support Officer. So, if you need anything beat related before PC Bland starts, (that is not an emergency), please contact PCSO Lyall. 

I am sure that you will all join me in giving PC Bland a very warm welcome to her new role. I will allow PC Bland to introduce herself to you and share her contact details in her own time once she has settled in and started in post.
