Monthly Community Update from Sgt Wilson – January 2026
Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a happy new year! Please see below for an update of the team’s latest activities:
🔍 Local Priorities
Our current focus includes:
The team continue to charge and remand prolific shop lifters. Where possible, we have also issued civil orders to help prevent further offending by banning offenders from certain stores.
This week, the team identified 3 suspects involved in burglaries at a store. All 3 have been arrested and either charged/remanded or bailed for further enquiries.
The team identified and cleared a cannabis grow. Further work is ongoing to identify further grows – if you have any information to share on this, then please feel free to contact us!
ASB and drug hotspots have been patrolled with multiple stop searches completed.
The team stopped a vehicle for document offences who turned out to be drug driving so was arrested and taken to police custody.
We have continued to patrol the new build development sites to help prevent equipment from being stolen.
The team have worked with Citizen housing to secure a home which was being used by a male who should not have been there and who was causing issues for other people in the area. He has been issued with a community protection warning which prohibits him from returning.
Reminder -
If you need to report an incident or an emergency, please don’t email the PCSOs directly as they may be on leave/sick and it might not be picked up for some time. Instead, please report it online, call 101 or if it is an emergency then call 999.
📅 Important Dates
Stay safe and take care,
Sgt Wilson. | ||
