Dear Met Engage Members, Ilford Town Ward Safer Neighbourhood Team will be holding a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and crime prevention engagement stall at Ilford Central Library.

📍 Location: Ilford Central Library
The purpose of this engagement is to raise awareness around VAWG, provide reassurance, and share practical safety and crime prevention advice. Officers will be available throughout the event to speak with members of the public, answer questions, and provide guidance on personal safety, reporting options, and available support services.
This stall also offers an opportunity for residents and visitors to engage directly with their local Safer Neighbourhood Team in a safe and accessible environment. Officers will be promoting reporting tools such as StreetSafe, discussing ways to stay safe in public spaces, and signposting individuals to further support where appropriate.
This engagement forms part of Ilford Town Ward’s ongoing commitment to tackling VAWG, increasing visibility, and building community confidence.
Members of the public are encouraged to come along, speak with local officers, and feel free to share this information with family, friends, and neighbours who may find it helpful.
