Local Priorities Mobile phone theft Concern

I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

One of the favourite spots for mobile phone thieves is outside tube stations as commuters generally leave the station and get out their mobiles either to use a map app or make a call as they had no data whilst travelling on the tube.
They also target bus stops where people check their phones or scroll through while waiting for their bus to arrive.
ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings when using your mobile device, apart from the expense of a replacement your device contains a lot of personal information which a criminal can use to compromise your bank or credit card accounts.
