Stay Safe in Plymouth |
||
|
Good Afternoon Residents, Devon & Cornwall Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner are committed to tackling violence against women and girls, wherever it happens. VAWG is a priority, but anyone can become a victim.
No one should become a victim of crime on a night out, but there are steps that you can take to make your night safer. You should always go with your gut instinct, if something doesn't feel right, just say no.
Advice for staying safe on nights out: Stagecoach are also running the popular Night bus service throughout 2026 which supplies 2 routes from Plymouth to Tavistock and Plymouth to Saltash for a maximum fare of £3. More information is available here: Night Buses | Devon & Cornwall Police
Devon & Cornwall Police Officers also carry out High Visibility patrols on Saturday evenings into the early hours on Union Street, Royal Parade, North Hill, The Barbican and Mutley Plain.
If you see anything that looks suspicious, you should always alert an officer if nearby, or the staff of the venue that you are in.
For more information, please see our Project Nighteye page: Project Nighteye | Devon & Cornwall Police
Wishing you all a happy and safe 2026.
