Mildenhall – motorcycle thefts

Police are appealing for witnesses or information and urging vigilance after a series of motorbike and moped thefts in Mildenhall.

The incidents all took place between 15 November and 1 January in Mildenhall as follows:

St Johns Close - sometime between 12pm and 7pm on Saturday 15 November a motorbike was stolen but has since been recovered

Downing Close – sometime between 4pm and 8pm Sunday 16 November a Yamaha MT125 motorbike with vehicle registration plate YY21 WNC was stolen

Peterhouse Close – on 6 December a Honda CBF 500 motorbike was stolen but has since been recovered, damaged. A motorcycle cover was also stolen.

Sainsbury’s Car Park Recreation Way – on Tuesday 30 December a black and white 50cc moped with vehicle registration plate BX72 JDJ was stolen

Peterhouse Close – sometime between 9am on Sunday 28 December and 12pm on Thursday 1 January a SYM Jet black coloured scooter with vehicle registration plate AF23 DZA was stolen

St Johns Close – on Sunday 7 December at 12pm neighbours disturbed two male suspects attempting to steal a Yamaha motorbike. The suspects ran off

Peterhouse Close - sometime between 1am in the early hours of Thursday 1 January and 1pm on Friday 2 January, a garage at the rear of the property was broken into and an orange and black coloured motorbike with vehicle registration plate AV64 YCL was stolen.

Officers are continuing with targeted patrols in the area, and are grateful to members of the public who have come forward with information.
