Bishop Auckland NPT weekly round up:
On Monday, PC Neil and PC Jones intercepted a vehicle being driven by a provisional license holder. The driver was also not insured to drive the vehicle. The driver was reported for the offences and the vehicle seized.
On Wednesday PCSO Stephenson located an E-Bike, which the rider dumped upon seeing the police vehicle, does this belong to you? If so, can you pop down to Bishop Police Station and have a chat with the team!
On Wednesday, PC Laycock and PCSO Stoddart attended Prince Bishop's Primary School with colleagues from DAAC for Year 5 mini police input, it was lovely to speak with the children about what the police do.
On Thursday, the team also went to Hamsterley Primary School for a mini police input in the school. Thank you to both schools for having us.
Over this week, PC Neil has interviewed 2 females for Shoplifting offences. The females will be receiving their summons to court in the coming weeks.
On Saturday into the early hours Sunday the team completed a collective 35 miles on foot around Bishop Auckland following a recent spate of burglary incidents. We are happy to report no incidents during that time.
Where are we this week? Hamsterley PACT meeting at Hamsterley village hall - Wednesday 14th January 2026 @18:00hrs. Woodhouse Close and Etherley Dene PACT meeting at Bishop Auckland College - Wednesday 14th January 2026 @ 18:00hrs.
